How can I use Claude or another AI agent with my reading list?
Short answer
Connect the agent to Lumen's MCP server. In Lumen press Connect agent, copy the command for Claude Code (claude mcp add) or the config for Claude Desktop or Cursor, and ask things like "what did I read about evals this week, and what should I write next?"
Step by step
- In the Lumen dashboard press Connect agent and create a key.
- Claude Code: run the claude mcp add command shown.
- Claude Desktop or Cursor: paste the JSON config shown.
- Ask: "Use Lumen to do my weekly reading review."
Good to know
The agent gets tools to search your library, read an article with your highlights, list highlights, see trending stories in your topics, save links, add highlights and notes, and suggest content to write.
Keys can be revoked any time from Settings.
